Weekend No.1
My weekend was productive last time so I thought about blogging it. I've pretty much told these to you via Skype, but I'm posting this anyway so that I won't forget about it. This Valentines weekend is going to be another adventure for me and my friends in UP so before I head on to the debauchery, let me tell you how my weekend went.
FRIDAY:
My weekend started with this. Me, Met and Ate watched Jupiter Ascending in Resorts World. This was Ate's choice, but to tell you honestly, it sucked. For a Wachowski (the Matrix trilogy) movie, the characters and story are stupid. Seriously, don't watch this, okay?
Here we are after watching the movie. We are going downstairs and into the game area in Resorts World. I don't have any photos inside the casino floor because it's not allowed. This is a rare selfie of us.
SATURDAY:
So bored in class so I just took this pic. I was cramming for this class because I had a case study to write the same time that my class is going on. Thank god my teacher is not around because it was PUPCET last Saturday. I got to finish my case study in the nick of time. As usual, my USB got another virus because apparently, the computer shops around school doesn't have antivirus installed in their computers. Bugger!
We were dismissed late, past 6 I think, because the Master in Comm students had a meeting about the unexplained dues on our accounts. After the meeting, Eve and I went to Cubao and decided that we want dinner. We ended up in Max's because she wanted to eat their champorado. Grabe, ang sarap pala ng champorado dun, G. We should try it when you come back, okay?
This is my dinner--lomi and tokwa't baboy. Believe it or not G, this is free. I used my Globe Rewards to use for this. Grabe, I didn't know that after being skeptical about my points, I could really use it pala, and sa food pa. Coolio. Eve said that I could use it for movies, too, but I have yet to try that out. But of course, I need to accumulate more points pa.
SUNDAY:
As I said in Skype, Remy got bored on Sunday so she decided to go to Solaire to check it out. It is so impressive, huh! Remy said that it's really opulent, even compared with MGM in Las Vegas. Truly, no detail was spared in every corner of this magnificent site.
Photos are not allowed in the casino floor again so this picture is from their food court--yes G, they have a food court! However, there are limited choices: Singaporean, Korean, Filipino, American and dessert. But OMG, look at that chandelier G.. it's so massive. Even though it's a food court, the food are still expensive. Average price is Php 250.
This is what we had for lunch. Kimchi rice and barbeque chicken wings. Met and I shared the Kimchi rice and it is seriously good. Also, here's a sneak peek of the bread pudding.
Ain't this bread pudding gorgeous? Even though it wasn't as warm as we ate it, it really didn't hit a high note with my taste buds. Met and I agreed that it should have been served with ice cream. This is the first time that I tried this and for a bread pudding, it is acceptable.
This is my chicken wings. Nothing special about this. I've tasted much better. The fries became soggy because it's splattered with the sauce. Not a good idea.
She ain't mad, seriously.
I took a selfie in Solaire's common rest room because it's so god damn pretty. Just ignore my face and look at the background, okay?
After Solaire, Met decided that we check out the car show in Glorietta so that she can show me the car that she'll buy. We spent about an hour at Glorietta and she decided to go for Hyundai Accent. She was supposed to buy the Tucson but it's big and it felt intimidating.
After she chose the Accent, we went to church and after that, we decided to watch That Thing Called Tadhana. The next available time in Glorietta was 10 PM and it's a little late so we decided to check out Resorts World. We made good on the decision because there was an 8 PM showing.
My expectations were really high for this movie because I heard rave reviews about it, but when we saw it, there were a lot of boring scenes. I dunno. I just can't relate to Mace and I was really waiting for that #hugotpamore moments, but there was none for me.
After we watched the movie, Met decided to play again and mabuti na lang nanalo ulit sya. She says that overall, she won this weekend.
I am always bored in casinos that's why I just watch the shows at the bar. After going to Resorts World twice already, I am not impressed anymore with the performances. I also saw Jasmine Fitzgerald perform. She was my classmate in college. We went home past 11.
So that's how my weekend went. After writing this, I feel that it wasn't such a productive weekend after all. But memorable still. Can't wait for Febfair na!!!
