Conquering Mt. Ulap when You're Lazy AF

Image
Remember that Halloween long weekend last October? What did you do? Me, I was lazy AF to do anything really, but since my friend Valerie already booked us for an outdoor adventure, might as well get out of bed and make the most out of the weekend. Our agenda ? Conquer Mt. Ulap. I did not have an idea where Mt. Ulap is until I Googled it a day before the climb. Turns out, it's in Benguet. Side note, I've noticed that since last year, every time HB returns to the US, I get to climb a mountain and all of them are unintentional so maybe this might be a tradition? But let's move on. Like what the title suggests, I was (and still lazy AF) to do this so let's go ahead. Valerie booked through Rock Jockers  and OMG, they are super affordable. The package is just Php 1200 and this already includes the van, fees, and guide. Of course, food is up to you. Including food, I think I shelled out almost Php 1600 for this trip. Not bad if you ask me. First bump in Mt. Ulap. This

October Haul: BeautyMNL and Stylegenie

Image
Hi G, I can't believe that I'm writing a beauty haul review. I mean, it's so not me, no? Anyway, this has been a shitty week with the car getting towed last Monday therefore severing the newly existing relationship between me and Met. So, goodbye to that and hello again to countless months of no talking. Enough about that, at least these two packages that got delivered this week made up for the hell that went by. First up: BeautyMNL . I ordered this last week, and was supposed to be delivered on Friday (hey, they said 'if you order today, expect next day delivery'), but I guess they have tons of orders that's why the delivery guy forgot about it? When I arrived home last Friday, the delivery guy called me, but I said, "kuya, you can deliver it on Monday." So Monday came and its already past 1 PM, but still no package arrived in the office. Jen, my officemate, said that they usually arrive this time (she's an avid fan of the site, btw), that

Food Discoveries in the South

Image
For almost a decade, I was a #makatigirlforlife, but when Remy found a permanent place in the South, we had no choice but to move. I am now a #southernbelle and I must admit, I am still adjusting to my new environment because for the most part, the conveniences that our old Makati apartment offered is instantly gone--there are no restaurants nearby, no 7-11, no carinderia, and the nearest mall is SM BF which is in the middle of the traffic inferno that is Sucat Road. I must admit though that our new location has its own charm and I am in awe to be discovering it everyday, especially the restaurant options along President's Ave and Aguirre (a car is a must, btw). So, let me share to you the restaurants that I've discovered for the past year. Behrouz Persian Cuisine Located inside Santana Grove, this is one of the first restaurants that we tried when we moved. The food is good, but don't expect anything grand when it comes to ambiance or decor. It looks just like a f

Weekend in Calaguas

Image
Whoa, I'm on a roll! Writing another entry? That's so not me. But since one of my New Year's Resolution is to write more on this blog, here goes my Calaguas diary.  The details of this trip escapes me now because I did this in May last year. Also, I think the best way to do this one is through a visual diary (hell yeah, first in this blog; also an attempt to make this entry as fast and short as possible). So here it goes! Edit: Don't believe the paragraphs above, I wrote that a lot of moons ago and I am too lazy to edit. :-) Went there with Oli, my office mate. This trip was so unplanned, I did not even have accommodations and I even got lost with the bus terminal. The buses going to Daet is not located in the usual spot that I go to whenever I go home. Instead, they are located along EDSA. Because we did not book any tickets, we had to fall in line, but it was so god damn long that's why we settled for the ordinary bus. It was a long and sore ride, but I
